Fashion and Film
Through a combination of lectures, screenings, projects and group presentations; this course will provide you with an innovative and engaging look into the relationship between these two 20th century art-forms. You will look into the creation of the star-system and how its role has created a platform from which the fashion industry has promoted and advertised itself in the media and popular-culture. Concepts of sexuality and gender will also be examined alongside the idea of the sex-symbol. You will be asked to create a multimedia research and presentation project on the topic of your choice.
